Innovative Team Building: How TomTom's Milan Christmas Party Spun Fun into Success

TomTom, the global leader in navigation technology, tasked us with organising their Christmas party team-building activities. The venue, a charming restaurant in central Milan, was perfect for an intimate gathering of 80 guests, including international attendees. We needed to entertain a diverse group in a limited space. To this end, we devised bespoke activity that would have everyone spinning with excitement.
Our Project
We engaged the client team in our bespoke rendition of 'The Wheel of Fortune', which we repurposed as a custom-designed game that broke the ice and ignited the festive spirit.
The activity was conducted in English, to cater for our international guests, and it featured a variety of challenges, from karaoke singing to dance-offs inspired by famous musicals and films. Participants also tested their knowledge with quizzes and showcased their acting skills by re-enacting iconic movie scenes.
As teams spun the wheel and tackled their challenges, a panel of judges kept score, adding a competitive edge to the festivities. The winning team was awarded a magnum of sparkling wine—the perfect way to celebrate their success. But the night didn't end there. As the laughter from the game subsided, a DJ set took over, turning the restaurant into a lively dance floor. It was the ideal finale to an evening of team bonding and celebration.
Outcome
The whole event that left the TomTom workforce extremely satisfied, demonstrating that with the right planning, even the most diverse group can come together and experience shared joy and team spirit.
