Corporate team building is evolving, and a new approach is making waves by combining team bonding with charitable giving. Charity Building is a groundbreaking concept that not only fosters camaraderie but also makes a positive impact on communities in need. Leica Microsystems asked for our help implementing this innovative format, focusing on inclusion, diversity, and social responsibility. The event aimed to promote unity and understanding while demonstrating the power of corporate social impact.
Our Project
The Charity Building event had two distinct components. The first phase involved friendly competitions, including quizzes on Italian culture and cuisine, and challenges like building a tower using pasta and marshmallows. These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation. The second phase was where the event truly shined. Participants received bags containing components such as wheels, handlebars, and pedals, which they used to assemble fully functional wheelchairs. This hands-on activity not only tested their skills and teamwork but also contributed to a greater cause. The assembled wheelchairs, complete with personalised messages, were donated to Pio Albergo Trivulzio, a care home in Milan. This thoughtful gesture transformed a corporate event into a meaningful act of community service, showcasing how team building can have a significant social impact.
Outcome
The results spoke for themselves. The event successfully engaged participants, boosted team spirit, and promoted important social themes. By donating wheelchairs to a care home, it also made a tangible difference in society. The client was particularly impressed with our efficient to setting up such an event for an international company. All participants were delighted and uplifted.
