Dune Camp
Discover how Milan's innovative Dune Camp festival blended culinary delights and electronic music, creating a unique urban experience for food and music lovers
Client Request
Dune Camp, inspired by Coachella, aimed to create a 'street-techno festival' experience in Milan. The mission was to find a multifunctional, versatile, and accessible location for this ambitious event, in which the vibrant energy of street food collided with the pulsating rhythms of techno music to create something extraordinary. This was to be Milan's inaugural Dune Camp festival: a unique blend of culinary delights and electronic beats was designed to captivate the city's youth.
Our Project
The challenge was multifaceted: a stage for live band performances in the early evening, ample room for food stalls and street vendors, and a venue that could transform into a thumping techno party at night.
The solution was a location on the outskirts of the city, that could reinvent itself for each phase of the event. The chosen venue had a spacious outdoor area—ideal for the street food trucks and vendor stalls—and a sizeable space for the main techno event. This allowed the client to bring in partners and sponsors to create a vibrant street food scene outside, while their service team crafted an impressive stage setup indoors.
The indoor transformation was noteworthy, featuring elaborate stage design, strategically placed bars, and state-of-the-art lighting and video projections that turned the space into a techno lover's paradise. Our involvement extended beyond location scouting. We also connected the client with professional security services, ensuring the safety of all attendees throughout this large-scale event.
Outcome
The result was a resounding success that exceeded expectations, proving that with the right location and thorough planning, even the most ambitious event concepts can become reality. This street food and techno festival has set a new benchmark for innovative events in Milan.
